He recorded his first solo album in 1994. Since then, 18 solo albums have been released, including live concert editions of "Pilichowski Band Live" on DVD. The total sales of all albums have surpassed 100,000 copies.

In 2017, the artist celebrated his 25th anniversary in music, which resulted in the release of the live album "25 Concert in Trójka." On stage, special guests included Kasia Kowalska, Natalia Kukulska, Jan Borysewicz, and the Woobie Doobie band (Olszak, Grymuza, Nowakowski, Pilichowski, Dąbrówka).

From the beginning of his career, he has frequently participated in projects with other artists. As a session musician, he has recorded over 200 albums, which in total have sold more than 6 million copies. He has collaborated with the leaders of the Polish pop scene in the supergroup Woobie Doobie. His sound can be heard on hundreds of albums released over the past three decades. Pilichowski is also a co-founder of the Polish instrumental jazz-rock trio, TTR2.

For many years, Wojtek has been invited to perform at major festivals worldwide, including Bass Player Live in New York and Los Angeles, Euro Bass Days in Verona, UK Bass Day, Java Jazz Festival, Open Jazz Fest, and Klaipeda Jazz Festival. He has performed in cities around the world: Tokyo, Shanghai, São Paulo, Vancouver, Astana, Bogotá, Santiago, and many others.

In Poland, he has received numerous prestigious awards. He has been recognized as the best Polish bassist 16 times. Pilichowski was nominated three times for the Fonographic Academy Award. Readers of "Gitara i Bas" magazine have voted him the best Polish bassist eight times. He received the award for Best Rhythm Section in 2001 (Pilichowski, Dąbrówka) and 2003 (Pilichowski, Łosowski). He is a four-time recipient of the Play Box award for bass guitar, presented by Polish Radio. He won the Guitar Awards 2013 in the Best Bassist category. He is the artistic director of prestigious and largest music workshops in Poland: "Muzyczna Owczarnia," "Wojtek Pilichowski Creative Workshops," and the author of four bass guitar playing manuals and DVDs. For many years, he has been conducting lectures and workshops worldwide.
